AUDITION
The Community Performance Team of Escola de Samba Adelaide
The Adelaide Sambinhas is a not-for-profit team, dedicated to the integrity of Samba culture and the community spirit of the Escolas de Sambas in Brazil.
The team gives students an invaluable opportunity to grow as dancers and perform at community events and other relevant not-for-profit functions.
The team will receive dedicated monthly training with Erin. There will also be opportunities to connect and collaborate with The Sambinhas teams in Sydney and Canberra. The commitment to training, a positive attitude, and team spirit are essential to being a part of the Adelaide Sambinhas.

AUDITION CONTENT

Demonstrate the Samba no pé basic to a slow and medium speed for technique, timing, and musicality.

Learn and “perform” a short combo taught by Sashya
REQUIRMENTS
An intermediate level of Samba is ideal but not mandatory to audition.
TEAM EXPECTATIONS
If you are selected for the team, the following commitments will be required, note that the final team will be subject to the first team meeting where team guidelines will be agreed to by the group.

Weekly attendance at least 1 Samba class

Monthly 2-hour team training session (time and day TBC). Training cost $40

Purchase of the team costume. Passista style costume (bodysuit or 2 piece) from Rio Samba Costumes. Cost approx: $400
